About this experience
We will visit one of the main symbols of Catalonia - the peak of Sant Jeroni on Montserrat mountain! Here is located the Benedictine monastery - the spiritual and religious center of Catalonia, attracting Catholic pilgrims from all over the world. We will see everything that Montserrat has to offer and talk in detail about the monastery, and I will also tell you the history of these places.

Not far from Barcelona, in the central part of Catalonia, rises the majestic, whimsically shaped Montserrat mountain range, the highest peak of which - Sant Jeroni peak - is at an altitude of 1236 meters above sea level. The amazing rock formations of the mountain range, which are hard to take your eyes off, are the result of a long geological evolution.
What to Expect
'La Moreneta' (The Dark One), as the Holy Virgin is familiarly called because of the dark color of her face, is a carved wooden figure from the end of the 12th to the beginning of the 13th century. The sacred image embodies for a Christian the 'bride' from the Old Testament 'Song of Songs,' who is 'dark and beautiful'. During our tour, we will touch The Dark One and make the most sacred wish. We will light a candle and pray in silence. We will stand in the middle of a huge medallion and recharge with positive energy. We will taste local liqueurs for 1.50 euros.
