You will hear the history of the monastery and Catalonia, ride on the unusual road - cremallera, ascend to the top of the mountain, and taste local cheeses at the market. What to Expect
Montserrat, or the Serrated Mountain
We will ascend one of the most futuristic mountains on our planet. It is famous alongside the sacred sites of Machu Picchu and Shambhala. The whimsical rock formations gave rise to a legend about angels sawing rocks with saws.
This is a trekking route, but we can use the funicular. And there is also an unusual road on the mountain - cremallera. This is a rack railway with not two, but three rails. If desired, we can take a ride on it.
Monastery with the Black Madonna
People have been coming here with their prayers since the 9th century. I will tell you in detail about this place and the unusual sculpture of Madonna that grants wishes. If we are lucky, we will hear the choir of the Escolania boys.
We will also visit the local market - you will taste delicious homemade cheeses, and I will tell you where you can buy them advantageously.
