What to expect
Montserrat Monastery and the Black Madonna
I will introduce you to the long history of the Benedictine monastery and its main relic - the Black Madonna, who has been helping people cope with troubles and misfortunes for centuries. You will learn how to properly address the Virgin Mary of Montserrat and hear about other symbols associated with this remarkable mountain. And if you're lucky, you might come across a small concert by the 'Escolania' children's choir.
Breathtaking views and local delicacies
From the observation platforms at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level, you will enjoy idyllic panoramas of valleys and Spanish villages. While gazing at the giant stone formations, you will try to unravel the mystery of their appearance. Additionally, at the foot of the mountain, there are farms where you can try cheeses, honey, and experience the taste of the Montserrat valley.
