What to expect
The tour takes place in the historical building of the country's main bank, in the visitor center that opened in 2011 taking into account the experience of European banks and the peculiarities of Armenia. The exhibition consists of stationary exhibition stands and interactive areas: a lab for authenticating banknotes and an ATM. Here you can also purchase collectible coins and unique souvenirs.
You will see priceless exhibits - some of them around 2600 years old! Examine coins of Greek poleis, Roman emperors, Sasanian shahs, as well as states of the Middle Ages - the Arab Caliphate, Byzantium, the Ottoman Empire. Study rare specimens of Armenian coins starting from the 4th century BC. And also find out how paper banknotes changed.
