About this experience
In 1 day you will visit North and South Americas, admire ancient colonial houses and modern skyscrapers. I will tell you about the role English pirate Henry Morgan played in Panama's history, who started the construction of the Panama Canal, and how its locks work. Why Panama is called that way, how people live in it, and other interesting facts!
What to expect
Walking tour of the Old Town
You will stroll through the cozy narrow streets of the colonial Old Town. Visit historic squares and iconic churches: the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, the Cathedral, and the Church of Saint Joseph with a golden altar. You will also see stalls with traditional local souvenirs: famous hats and various items handcrafted by indigenous people.
Flamenco Island and the Panama Canal
We will cross the Two Americas Bridge and enjoy the breathtaking views it offers. Next, we will walk around Flamenco Island, connected to the city by the Amador Causeway. And, of course, visit the legendary Panama Canal. You will see how ships pass through the famous two-chambered Miraflores locks and learn interesting facts about this place.
