What to Expect
Idyllic Mountain Adjara
We will explore the ancient fortress of Gonio-Apsaros, a former outpost of the Roman Empire near the Turkish border. Then, we will head out to enjoy the fantastic nature of Mountain Adjara! You will marvel at the dense forests and the longest river in the region, observe the traditional way of life in the small villages of Makhunceti and Merisi. Be amazed by the 30-meter waterfall and the stone arched bridges dating back to the times of Queen Tamar.
Soul of Georgia: Home Feast with Wine and Chacha (optional)
At the Adjara Wine House, you will taste the famous varieties of "Tsolikauri" and "Chkhaveri." You will also learn how vineyards grow at an altitude of 1200 meters and the peculiarities of caring for them in these conditions.
