About this experience
The East is often associated with something magical, and this comparison is relevant even in Bali. During the journey through the eastern part of the island, you will visit a temple considered the oldest in Bali and hear legends about the fragments of the mysterious Mount Meru. Stroll through the enchanting royal palaces, one of which was built by a rajah inspired by Versailles. And to end the day, relax on a quiet beach or visit a cave with bats!
What to expect
Pura Lempuyang Temple and royal palaces
The excursion will begin with a visit to this temple, part of the nine main sanctuaries that maintain the spiritual balance of the island. Walking through the incredibly beautiful grounds, you will hear ancient myths about Mount Meru and the creation of a series of temples embodying its fragments. Then you will visit the royal palaces of Taman Ujung and Tirta Gangga, where you will learn about the great rajah of Karangasem, who was so inspired by Versailles that he decided to build an equally magnificent structure on Bali. Accompanied by these tales against the backdrop of beautiful fountains and ponds with golden carps, you will easily imagine the majestic era of the Majapahit Empire.
White beach or a cave
If there is time left after the rich cultural program, we will take you to one of the secluded beaches on the east coast or to the cave of flying bats at Goa Lawah, where you will see thousands of screeching and fluttering creatures.
