About this experience
This unique excursion will unveil the island of Bali from various perspectives. You will discover its astonishing nature, see the rice terraces, visit craft villages, and admire their works. Feed the adorable monkeys in the Monkey Forest, taste the expensive Luwak coffee at the plantation. But the most impressive part of our journey is the almost mystical landscapes of Mount Batur with its lake at the foot. And the ancient Besakih Temple, the mother of all temples, will captivate you with its sacred spirit and beauty.
What to Expect
Craft Villages
In traditional Balinese villages, craft dynasties have been living for centuries, passing their secrets from father to son. You will observe the work of craftsmen, see gold and silver jewelry, and learn how stone and wood are processed. We will stop near the rice terraces—photos against their vivid green backdrop turn out especially successful. And then we will head to the Monkey Forest and watch these amusing animals.
Magnetic Power of the Volcano
After the rice fields, the crater of Mount Batur will seem a mysterious and enigmatic place. Clouds clinging to the summit, a huge lake spreading at its foot—this beautiful landscape will be revealed to you at the viewpoint. If you wish, you can enjoy this view while having lunch in a local restaurant with cheap and tasty Balinese food.
Rare Coffee Variety
On the coffee plantations of Bali, the most expensive coffee in the world—Luwak—is produced in an unusual way. A small civet selects the best beans and eats them. After the digestion process, the beans are processed and roasted. You will be able to taste this delicious drink, from which the unpleasant bitterness disappears during fermentation.
The Mother of All Temples
The Besakih temple complex consists of 22 interconnected temples located on 6 levels. Here, all deities and ancestral spirits have gathered, and pilgrims from all over the island gather for numerous celebrations. The age of these structures is over a thousand years, and their artistic value is hard to overestimate. The multi-tiered pagodas make this place look like a fairytale city.
