What to expect
Royal Palace: luxurious rooms and the chronicles of Pitti
Our exploration of the palace will begin with its heart - the chambers where aristocrats, clothed in power, lived in different eras. From era to era, you will trace the history of Pitti: from its construction by architect Brunelleschi to modern times. I will tell you how the Medici managed to seize the palace from their enemies, what they changed in its appearance, and who lived in the palazzo in the early 18th century. I will explain how the first king of Italy became the owner of the palace and why famous museums are located here.
From the lives of aristocrats to art: Palatine Gallery
The richest collection of Raphael's works will appear before you in Pitti. The artist's famous creations - 'Madonna of the Goldfinch', 'Madonna Granduca', 'La Velata' - will reveal to you the painting of the Renaissance era. In addition to Raphael's works, you will examine Caravaggio's 'Amor', Rubens' 'Four Philosophers', paintings by Botticelli and Titian. I will tell you about the life and work of famous artists. I will share details of the creation of these masterpieces and explain how they ended up in the Pitti Palace.
There are a total of 7 museums in the palace. After the tour, you can independently explore the silver museum, stroll through the Gallery of Modern Art, or study exhibits in the fashion and costume museum.
