About this experience
Palazzo Pitti is the most pompous urban residence where the Grand Dukes of Tuscany lived. You will walk through baroque halls with painted walls, stucco, and frescoes on monumental ceilings. Appreciate the largest collection of Raphael's works in Florence and masterpieces of other Renaissance masters. You will also stroll along the alleys and paths of the picturesque park in 'Italian style'.
What to expect
Luxurious Palazzo Pitti
Walking through the majestic halls, you will see the works of Botticelli, Caravaggio, Titian, and Rubens. The royal apartments, decorated in neoclassical style, occupy a separate part of the palace. You will see walls covered with shiny silk panels, authentic pieces of furniture, exquisite carpets, and chandeliers. You will also see a unique 'picture in stone' - paintings made of semi-precious stones.
Elegant Boboli Gardens
Boboli Gardens are located right behind Palazzo Pitti - on the hillside, offering a delightful panoramic view of Florence. You will admire fountains, ancient sculptures, an elegant pond with an islet, and grottoes created for seclusion on hot summer days. You will also step into the garden's 'green rooms', where you can relax and breathe in the scent of blooming plants while listening to the chirping of birds.
