About this experience
I invite you to explore beautiful Lisbon together! You will explore the central district of Baixa and the picturesque neighborhood of Alfama. Climb to the viewpoints, admire the Cathedral and the Church of Saint Anthony. You will see the oldest laundry in Europe, hear modern jokes of the Portuguese, taste cherry liqueur and the main local dessert. And that's not all!
What to expect
Baixa District - a mix of past and present, traditions and modernity, art and creativity. You will visit the 4 main squares of the city: Restauradores, Rossio, Figueira, and Comercio. You will uncover what happened to the Royal Palace, how the first rhinoceros ended up in Lisbon, what the waves on one of the squares mean, and why you should visit it after a few glasses of wine.
Three viewpoints - you will enjoy magnificent views of the Old Town, the famous bridge, the Christ statue, the Tagus River, and the Chiado district. And all this to the melodic sounds of street musicians' guitars. We will go up secret elevators and descend through cozy narrow streets.
Alfama Neighborhood - whitewashed houses with tiled roofs, colorful graffiti, and friendly locals will help you travel back in time. You will see another Lisbon: simple, authentic, and full of contrasts. I will tell you how Alfama managed to preserve its authenticity, how it is connected to maritime journeys, what fado is, and what dish is considered the main one here.
Cathedral - built in the distant 12th century, it holds many secrets. I will share the most interesting ones with you!
Church of Saint Anthony - a favorite place of many Lisboetas. You will see where Saint Anthony was born, learn about his personality and deeds. And how he continues to help people to this day.
