About this experience
The main goal is to introduce you to traditional Portuguese snacks. But before tastings, let's work up an appetite! In the picturesque Alfama and Baixa quarters, I will tell you about the sights of the historical center. And, of course, we will talk about the nuances of Portuguese gastronomy. You will learn what and where the Lisboners buy for lunch, and discover interesting facts about the country's culinary brands.
What to expect
You will hear:
- what is ginja and what it is eaten with;
- how ham differs from presunto;
- why in Portugal they do not serve salt, pepper, and toothpicks at the table;
- how the Portuguese influenced two-thirds of the world with their cuisine;
- why dried cod is most loved by the ocean in the country;

- and much more.
