What to expect
Rabati Fortress and Khertvisi Castle
We will take you to beautiful Southern Georgia. First, we will visit the city of Akhaltsikhe and then explore the 9th-century Rabati Fortress, which has recently been restored and now serves as a city museum. You will learn about the history of this place, climb the walls and towers of the fortress, and stroll through the park. Next, we will head to the medieval Khertvisi Castle, built on a high rock at the confluence of the Paravani and Mtkvari rivers.
Vardzia, Wine Tasting, and Borjomi
Our next stop is the ancient cave city-monastery of Vardzia with numerous tunnels and viewpoints. You will see its main attraction - the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin. Visit local vineyards growing on the slopes of cliffs, have lunch at a restaurant with national cuisine and complimentary wine and chacha tastings. Relax and visit the Borjomi Mineral Park, where you can enjoy healing springs, ride the cable car, and optionally take a quad bike tour.
