About this experience
Join us on a journey through the ancient and beautiful Meskheti region, known since Byzantine times. You will walk around the cozy resort of Borjomi, explore the cave city of Vardzia with ancient frescoes, and visit the restored medieval citadel Rabati.
What to Expect
- Borjomi. You will see ancient resort houses in the center, take a walk in the national park, and taste the legendary mineral water from a natural spring.
- Rabati Fortress. Located in the small town of Akhaltsikhe, it attracts travelers with eclectic architecture combining European and Asian styles. You will learn about the events that took place in the fortress and how its restoration was carried out.
- Vardzia Cave City. We will visit the ancient city carved in the rock. Its scale is grandiose: it has 12 floors and over 600 caves. We will walk along equipped safe paths, peeking into the most interesting places.
And as a bonus, we offer you a walking tour of Tbilisi with one of the city's best guides.

Great tour, I really enjoyed it! It was interesting to explore the cave city, walk around the fortress and in Borjomi. It's nice when they are flexible with the excursion day and cater to the tourists' preferences. I liked how they organized lunch: we stopped at a cafe before visiting Vardzia, place...

I really enjoyed this tour. Thanks to Vladimir for the organization and individual approach, there were only 3 of us and the tour took place. We visited Vardzia, walked around the cave city, watched the sunset at the Rabati fortress, and enjoyed amazing views of the mountains throughout the journey....
