What to expect
Mountain landscapes and a boat trip to Bue Marino
First, you will get to know Barbaggia - the amazing mountain region of Sardinia, where the peaks of the rocks shine like silver. You will learn about its history and then head to the small town of Cala Gonone on the shore of the Orosei Gulf. There you will board a small boat and sail to the caves of Bue Marino. A speleologist guide will lead you through a labyrinth of stalactites and stalagmites, and you will learn who used these caves as a refuge in the past. After that, you will swim and sunbathe on one of the most picturesque and clean eastern beaches of Sardinia.
All of Sardinia in miniature
Upon return to Cala Gonone, you will visit the local aquarium, where you will see colorful inhabitants of the Tyrrhenian Sea. And in the unique agritourism complex of Su Gologone - a real open-air museum - you will have a delicious lunch: the list of dishes of traditional Sardinian cuisine is topped by suckling pig on a spit. You will also get better acquainted with the culture and way of life of Sardinia. You will learn how Sardinian bread is baked, what industries are prevalent here, take a walk along an alley of aromatic herbs and in the shade of eucalyptus trees, sit with an aperitif on one of the terraces. Meanwhile, your children can engage in molding or drawing.
