What to Expect
Luxury and beauty of the Emerald Coast
In 1961, Prince Aga Khan IV first acquainted himself with this coast. Not a fictional character, but a real prince, still alive today, bought 55 km of Sardinia's coastline and named it after the color of the local sea 'Emerald Coast'. I will tell you about all the stages of transforming this once wild coast into a marvelous shoreline where yachts of sheikhs, emirs, princes, and oligarchs moor. You will learn about the history of life on the island by visiting prehistoric artifacts - nuraghes and giant tombs, where we will talk about the traces of ancient civilization in Sardinia.
Iconic Places of Costa Smeralda
During the journey along the coast, you will visit a local vineyard where you can purchase the best products of winemakers from the northern region of Sardinia, which have won deserved medals at wine exhibitions in Europe. You will visit the 'lost port', reminiscent of Monaco with its views, get acquainted with the atypical architecture of the Church of the 'Sea Star', where a genuine El Greco is kept, and noble couples get married. After that, you will visit the capital of the Emerald Coast - Porto Cervo, also known as the city of millionaires. The program also includes several remarkable places offering wonderful views of the entire coastal infrastructure - the most vivid pictures of Sardinia will be taken from here. Moreover, during the tour, you will discover the existence of the island-kingdom, which Italians consider part of Sardinia.
