About this experience
The northern province of Sardinia - Gallura - is abundant in impressive landscapes, but reaching the best spots of the region is not so easy. On a jeep, you will ascend to the peaks of coastal mountains, from where you will enjoy magnificent views, discover the hideouts of Sardinian bandits, and hear interesting stories about them. In the town of Anjus, you will hear about the vendetta of the 'deaf-mute of Gallura', and at the estate of the famous Italian singer, you will get acquainted with Gallurese cuisine.
What to expect
Panoramic views and stories of Sardinian bandits
Through unpaved roads, you will ascend to the peaks of coastal mountains, from where you can admire magnificent views and take wonderful photos. After that, you will head to Lake Liscia, where you can relax in the shade of huge millennia-old olive trees, the oldest of which is around 4000 years old! Next, you will continue the journey to the second highest mountain in Sardinia, Limbara, where I will help you find the hideouts of Sardinian bandits and tell interesting stories about them.
Lunch at Fabrizio di Andre's manor
After enjoying the cool mountain cascades, you can have lunch in a very beautiful place far from populated areas - the estate of the famous Italian singer Fabrizio di Andre, where you will be offered dishes of local Gallurese cuisine.
Adjus: mystical mountains and vendetta
In the town, you will visit a small lake where swans, ducks, and huge carps swim, and turtles bask in the sun. There, you will hear legends about the mystical mountains surrounding Adjus, about the vendetta of the 'deaf-mute of Gallura', which arose between two families and took many lives on both sides. On the way back, you will pass through the unusual valley of Valle della Luna, a place with unearthly landscapes, perfect for shooting fantastic movies.
