What to expect
History on the streets
Your introduction to Cagliari will begin at the port - strolling down the central street Via Roma and the shortest avenue in Cagliari, you will see the City Hall building, learn about Vice-King Carlo Felice near his monument on Piazza Yenne. You will walk along the shopping street Via Manno and, of course, visit the Royal Square, where you will admire the Cathedral of Santa Maria. The Castle district will greet you with beautiful panoramas and postcard views of the city. You will stop at Bastion of San Remy to enjoy the coastline, see the Municipal Theater building, and stroll through picturesque streets. You will also explore Stampace district, which has been a residential area of noble families since the Middle Ages, and Marina district - another historical area, where streets showcase old buildings and modern restaurants.
Palazzos and Pisan towers
During the excursion, you will encounter several beautiful buildings: Palazzo Boyl in neoclassical style, the Archbishop's Palace, Palazzo Secheate, Vice-Royal Palace - the residence of royal representatives during Aragonese, Spanish, and Savoy domination. Additionally, you will see towers decorating the city's skyline - Torre di San Pancrazio and Torre dell'Elefante, built during the Pisan rule.
