About this experience
The paradox of this metropolis on two continents is that its European part in spirit and color is closer to the East, while the Asian part is vice versa closer to the West. I will introduce you to the second - the Asian side of Istanbul. Slowly, I will guide you through its relaxed streets, show you the most important sights, and share a spot on the waterfront with a soulful view of the Bosphorus.
What to Expect
Visit the Asian Continent
When you visit someone's home for the first time, you are usually taken on a tour around the host's house and shown the most interesting and important things. This will be the case at our meeting as well: I will show you the most impressive lace palaces where iconic movies were filmed, and a 14th-century fortress. We will stroll through 'Little Jerusalem,' a district that doesn't resemble the 21st century. In a cafe with the best view of the Bosphorus, we will take a pleasant break with yogurt made from a 300-year-old recipe. In the National Park, you will soak up the idyll of the Asian side, where life doesn't boil like on the European side but simmers quietly. This route will clearly show you how two continent brothers can be so different, yet undoubtedly complement each other.
Immerse in Stories about Life in Istanbul
Of course, while showing you mosques, towers, palaces, and other city symbols, I will share the brightest facts and legends from their biography. But besides stories about landmarks, there will be notes about life here: we will talk about differences across continents, why the European part receives more visits, overall life in the city, and what else you should see to collect a full mosaic (after all, we are in Istanbul) of impressions about the eastern heart of Europe.
