About this experience
Immerse yourself in the chronicles and everyday life of Georgia at an exciting interactive quiz! You and your children will learn about the customs of the country, touch ancient household items and weapons. The most insightful participants will receive prizes! After the quiz, you will take photos in Georgian costumes in the museum and visit the minankari workshop, where you will see designer jewelry and have the opportunity to buy something as a souvenir.
What to expect
Stroll through the center
We meet in the Old Town of Tbilisi and go for a walk! You will visit a square with centuries-old plane trees, see the monument to the Georgian actress Sofiko Chiaureli and the monument to Tamada, explore the Trade Rows and the Smithy.
Quiz with ethnographer
Then you will proceed to the interactive Museum of Arms and Ethnography, where you and your children will participate in an interactive quiz. The museum's host and ethnographer David will show household items, costumes, and weapons, ask questions, and provide hints - while children playfully give answers and learn a lot about Georgian culture - holidays, clothing, duels, ethnography, etc. The most active and resourceful ones will receive small mementos.
Photo session and minankari
After the fun quiz, a photo session awaits you (on your phones or cameras) in Georgian national costumes. Then, we gladly take you to the minankari workshop - Georgian cloisonné enamel on silver. Designer Nino will tell you about the making of jewelry and show her unique creations. If you wish, you can purchase the piece you like.
