About this experience
Well-trodden tourist routes will seem much more interesting to children if instead of just strolling around, they explore them through a quest. By becoming a participant of the game 'The Guardians of Old Town', kids will walk through the center of Tallinn, deeply immerse themselves in its history, and time will fly by unnoticed. Come with your whole family, be prepared to look around a lot, and find the main Guardian of the city.
What to expect
Route through the Old Town
It is impossible to miss the main attractions of Tallinn while being engaged in the game as the quest is designed around them. Kids will walk through the central Town Hall Square and the streets of Pikk and Pikk-Jalg, see the medieval Toompea Castle, the City Wall, and, of course, the gate towers. The map will not let you get lost, and there will be new information after each of the tasks (there are more than a dozen) and the pleasure of your own deductions.
Riddles, puzzles, and a stopwatch with surprises
During the quest, children will learn why there are so many Danish flags in the city, when the knights disappeared, what were the other duties of the city executioner besides the well-known ones, and much more. Sometimes answers will have to be given within a time limit. And the amount of time will be determined by my unusual stopwatch, which each time gives a different number of seconds for contemplation.
