About this experience
You will walk along Marshal Baghramyan Avenue, stroll through the streets of the Old City or Kond, and through the Children's Railway Park, visit the Blue Mosque. Engaging stories about the thousand-year history of the capital alongside a tour of the Erebuni fortress-museum await you. And we will also visit a carpet factory where you will learn about the traditions of Armenian carpet making.
What to expect
Erebuni Fortress. The oldest military-strategic object in the region. King Argishti decided to found a citadel here to further consolidate the positions of the Urartian (Van) Kingdom in the Ararat Valley.
Old City, or Kond. Narrow winding streets where you can get lost like in a maze. Among the small modest houses, you will take a walk to feel the authenticity of the place.
Blue Mosque. It was built in 1765 by the Persian governor Husayn Ali Khan Qajar as a place for Friday prayers and study. Its minaret reaches a height of 24 meters, and in the inner courtyard, there is a small garden.
Megerian Family Carpet Weaving Factory. Located on the outskirts of Yerevan, a place where many tourists do not reach, and in vain! Upon entering the building, you immediately feel an unusual smell. This is the smell of thousands of carpets, laid out and hanging everywhere. You will learn how carpets are woven here, what traditional ornaments and patterns the masters use.
Children's Railway Park of Yerevan. This is one of the most beautiful parts of the Razdan Gorge. Here, small, toy-like trains hide among the greenery of trees.
Mars'el baghramyani Prospekt. Passes through the central Kentron district from the Place de France to the Friendship Square (Barekamutyun) in the Arabkir district. You will admire the architecture of pink tuffstone concentrated along the avenue.
