Ruby, Tawny, Vintage, LBV - do you know these taste names? If not, we will fix that! We will talk about port wine - a noble and world-famous drink. You will engage all 5 senses: hear the story of port wine, see its complexity, take a glass, capture delicate aromas, and enjoy a deep flavor.
What to Expect
The Magic of Port Wine
Your sensations before and after the tasting will be completely different. After trying port wine, you will experience the emotions for which travellers go to Porto. For a while, you will feel like a local, immersing yourself in the special atmosphere of the city.
Taste the History
We will visit a cellar where you can taste 1 of 3 sets (or better all 3!): soft, richer, or exclusive. You will learn why the strength of this drink is always 20 degrees and why its homeland is right here in Portugal. I will also reveal the secrets of grape production and harvesting, explain the differences between port wines, in which containers they are aged, and how it affects the taste. After this excursion, you will not become a sommelier, of course, but you will definitely be able to show off your knowledge to your friends.
Organizational Details
- Guided tour and cellar visit are included in the price. Tasting is an additional fee (€20). Additionally, you can order snacks for an extra charge (€15).
- You can bring children. Their visit will be free of charge (without tasting).
