About this experience
Escape from the hot city to the cool forest, explore an ancient fortress, engage in horseback riding near Tbilisi, and enjoy the beautiful views of the Trialeti Ridge - all of this is included in our tour. It is suitable for both experienced riders and beginners!
What to Expect
Kodjori Fortress. Enjoy the views from Mount Azeula, where the ruins of an ancient fortress are preserved. Learn about its connection to Queen Tamar.
Horse Club in Trialeti Ridge. In the riding arena, instructors from the Georgian Equestrian Federation will provide an introductory lesson. Then, you will embark on a 2-hour horseback ride through the magical forest and peaks of the ridge. You will admire the mountain landscapes, take impressive photos, and enjoy your time in the saddle.
After horseback riding, we will offer you a hearty lunch and wine tasting at the ethnographic marani. You will have time to stroll around the farm, see local animals, and enjoy the peaceful and calming atmosphere.
Program with Timing
08:40 - meeting at Rustaveli Metro Station
09:30 - departure from Tbilisi
9:30 - 10:30 - transfer to Kodjori
10:30 - 12:00 - visit to the ruins of the ancient fortress with a guide
12:00 - 12:30 - transfer to the horse farm
12:30 - 13:00 - horseback riding lesson
13:00 - 15:00 - horseback ride
15:00 - 16:30 - lunch
16:30 - 18:00 - rest at the farm, visit to the rose garden or wine tasting (optional)
18:00 - 19:00 - transfer to Tbilisi
Organizational Details
- Additional expenses (optional): wine tasting at the ethnographic marani - 40 lari, lunch - 60 lari (salad, suluguni cheese, BBQ chicken, khachapuri, grilled vegetables, bread, non-alcoholic beverages)
- The trip is conducted in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle
- The tour can be arranged in an individual format on other days (inquire via email)
- In case of bad weather, we will offer to reschedule the trip for another day
- The tour will be conducted by me or another guide from our team

I enjoyed the tour: I didn't expect such beautiful views so close to Tbilisi. The nature was amazing! Important point: the horses were obedient and overall I felt comfortable under the supervision of the instructor. I'm not entirely a beginner, but before this, I rode horses only twice.
