About this experience
Gain new knowledge, admire nature, and then treat yourself to authentic Armenian shashlik - that's the script for this journey. We will stop at the Charents Arch to admire Mount Ararat. Then we will drive past high mountains to the village of Garni, where you will discover the beauty of the pagan temple. We will descend to the Symphony of Stones gorge, and then head to the Geghard Monastery complex. And then we will visit a home where I will teach you how to cook proper shashlik and tell you about the peculiarities of our gastronomy.
What to Expect
Through the Paths of Legends
From Yerevan, we will drive east along a picturesque road to the ancient settlement of Garni. You will explore the pagan temple, standing on a mountain plateau surrounded on all sides by a gorge. And learn how it was built - and miraculously preserved to this day. From man-made landmarks, we will head to natural beauties - the Symphony of Stones, a gorge that will surely captivate you with its beauty. And then we will continue to the Geghard Monastery complex. You will hear the legends of these places and learn how this rock monastery was built.
Learn to Cook Armenian Dishes!
After immersing yourself in culture and history (and getting a little hungry), you will come to my home, a cozy country house. You will dive into Armenian cuisine - you will cook shashlik and try traditional flatbread gatu. I will tell you about the culture of food in Armenia, about old and modern recipes, about where to find the perfect ingredients. And then, sitting at a table set according to Armenian traditions, we will talk about the legends of our country, the culture, and customs of the people.
