About this experience
Keukenhof Park, for which millions of travelers come to the Netherlands in spring, needs no introduction. Only two months a year can you see the bright fields of blooming tulips in all their glory, and I invite you to admire them. You will explore the shaped flower beds and walk through the tulip alleys, get to know the titled varieties of flowers, and the achievements of Dutch florists. I will not only reveal the secrets of the main symbol of the Netherlands to you, but also tell you about intrigues, conspiracies, and financial pyramids built on tulip bulbs.
What to Expect
Tulip History of the Netherlands
On the way from Amsterdam, I will tell you about the birthplace and the intricate path of the tulip to the Netherlands. You will learn how the flower looked in those times and why the first and longest-lasting financial pyramid in the history of our civilization arose from its bulb resale. And on the way back, we will discuss the modern flower industry of the Netherlands, and you will learn how the famous Dutch 'reverse' auction works. In 2008, I worked as a director on the documentary 'Tulip,' so I can share with you little-known facts that I learned from Dutch farmers and even members of the royal family: and believe me, there are enough stories for an adventure series!
Keukenhof: Blooming Treasury
The annual tulip exhibition at Keukenhof, where we will go from Amsterdam, is so magical that it will not leave even the most urbanized person indifferent. Just imagine: millions of delicate flowers of all shapes and shades, planted in shaped flower beds under centuries-old trees, along ponds, and alleys of the ancient park. However, you cannot imagine the fantastic Keukenhof anyway - so you will have to see it! Under the open sky and in pavilions, you will examine prestigious and titled varieties of tulips, appreciate the latest achievements of Dutch farmers, floral breeders, gardeners, florists, and landscape designers. And of course, leaving Keukenhof without dozens and hundreds of amazing photos is impossible.
