You will be able to create a unique item with your own hands and take it home as a memory.
What to expect
Silk Paper
First stop on our route is the village of Konigil. You will see the full process of making ancient silk paper from mulberry, recreated in 1998, and learn why it was in great demand far beyond Samarkand.
Optionally, you can participate in a pottery master class: uncover the veil of centuries-old pottery secrets, learn the basics of working with a pottery wheel and painting in traditional technique.
Eastern Art
The carpet factory 'Khudjum' will also open its doors to you. Here, the production of Eastern silk carpets, admired even by Marco Polo, is preserved. You will get acquainted with the work of craftswomen, observe all stages of production. If you like any of the products, you can buy it directly from the source.
'Eternal City'
Next, we will move to the Silk Road Samarkand complex: a whole ancient city is recreated on the territory of 17 hectares! You will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a beautiful Eastern fairy tale - with turquoise domes, mosaics on the walls of palaces, and minarets reaching for the sky. Without leaving the complex, you will wander the streets of Bukhara, Tashkent, Fergana, taste dishes of the national cuisine from different eras and regions, and touch the history and traditions of the peoples of Uzbekistan.
