From Kutaisi to the Amazing Beauties of Georgia
About this experience
My land is rich in man-made and natural wonders, and I am delighted and proud to show them to you. We will visit the important Bagrati church - unique due to its location. We will explore underground caves and a picturesque deep canyon. During the trip, we will talk about the rich history and centuries-old traditions of hospitable Georgia.
What to Expect
Bagrati Church
This is a unique architectural solution for Georgian architecture - the only church of such size built on a cliff. You will admire the strict geometry of the structure, beautiful ornaments, and a two-meter bronze cross weighing 300 kilograms. In the churchyard, you will see an eight-meter ancient well.
Prometheus Cave
We will then head to a karst cave in western Georgia, near the town of Tskaltubo. It is approximately 11 kilometers long with only 1060 meters open to visitors. The halls are illuminated by static lights, creating a very impressive atmosphere. The cave tour is led only by local guides and will take about an hour.
Martvili Monastery
A monastery from the 7th century, one of the most revered in Georgia, served as a burial place for Abkhazian kings. The main church has been well preserved to this day. You will see intricate carvings on the walls and frescoes from the 14th-17th centuries. The monastery complex harmonizes perfectly with the beautiful surrounding landscapes. Get your cameras ready - you will definitely want to take such pictures with you.
Martvili Canyon
After that, we will visit a canyon born in limestone rocks. In its upper part, you can take a boat ride to a seven-meter powerful waterfall. The walk will be very picturesque - giant lianas hang from the rocks, and the walls seem to be decorated with centuries-old moss and thin streams trickling out of the stones.
Ogwehsi Waterfall
We will conclude our route by getting acquainted with the Ogwehsi waterfall.

The excursion did not live up to expectations. It all started with the fact that instead of the guide Robi, we were met by Goga, about whom we were not informed in advance, although we had been communicating with Robi on the phone from Moscow and exchanging messages here. Our replacement guide was e...
