About this experience
You will see the places where Jesus was baptized and where 2000-year-old scrolls were found. Visit the 'village of the early Christians', the Greek monastery of Gerasim, learn about the magical properties of the Dead Sea, and bathe in its healing waters.
What to Expect
Christian holy sites and the Dead Sea
You will not only relax in the healing waters of the Dead Sea, but also visit the most important holy places associated with Biblical history. The program includes:
- Qasr Al Yahud - the place where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. I will tell you how the sacrament of baptism described in the Gospel took place. You will also be able to immerse yourself in the sacred Jordan River.
- Monastery of Gerasim - you will visit the legendary Greek temple and learn how the first Christian hermits lived in the Holy Land. You will learn the story of St. Gerasim and understand why there are so many lion images in the monastery.
- Qumran - it is here that the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were found. I will tell you why scientists consider this place the first community of ancient Christians.
- Dead Sea Beach - you will relax in the salty healing water and enjoy the surrounding fantastic landscapes.
Organizational Details
- Transportation expenses when departing from Jerusalem are included in the cost of the tour.
- It is possible to organize a tour from other cities in Israel. The cost can be clarified in a personal message.
- Entrance tickets are not included in the price: Qumran - 29 shekels adult, 15 shekels child, beach - 60 shekels per person.
