About this experience
The 'Cotton Castle' Pamukkale is one of the main symbols of Turkey. You will walk on the glistening snow-white calcium terraces, immerse yourself in the healing waters of Cleopatra's pool, and walk through the streets of the ancient Hierapolis. And I will tell you the ancient history of these places and make sure our journey goes smoothly and comfortably!
What to expect
Turkey's calling card
Pamukkale is a true wonder of nature. You will learn how 20,000 years ago calcium-rich water emerged on the Earth's surface and created a nearly 200-meter high cascade of terraced pools. Walk barefoot on the 'snowy' mountain and discover what travertines are. You will also bathe in Cleopatra's pool with hot, bubbling water resembling champagne, and learn about the beneficial elements it contains.
An exciting dive into history
You will not only encounter surreal natural landscapes but also the ancient city of Hierapolis. I will tell you why it was repeatedly rebuilt by the Greeks, Romans, and Byzantine emperors, show you the well-preserved ancient Greek theater, and reveal the kind of performances that were staged there. On the way back, if you wish, we can visit a textile center and a wine cellar where you can taste pomegranate, mulberry, and blackberry wines.
