About this experience
Pamukkale is one of the most famous and picturesque places in Turkey. You will stroll through the photogenic 'cotton' slopes created by nature itself. Relax in hot springs with beneficial mineral elements and admire surreal landscapes. And in ancient Hierapolis, you will see an amphitheatre and the temple of Apollo.
What to expect
Hierapolis - Immersion in the past
In the 2nd century BC, the Romans built the city of Hierapolis. You will hear its rich history and walk among the ancient ruins. Admire the amphitheatre, which can accommodate 15,000 people, and the temple of Apollo. Additionally, I will show you a necropolis with different types of burials: tombs, graves, and sarcophagi. I will tell you about the Basilica of St. Philip and the Plutonium Cave, which was believed to be the entrance to the Underworld.
Pamukkale and Thermal Springs
You will see the 'postcard-perfect' cascade of snow-white terraced pools and learn how and when it was formed. You will also bathe in hot natural baths, which according to legend, were enjoyed by Cleopatra herself. I will reveal what beneficial elements their healing water contains and what diseases it helps to treat.
