About this experience
It's time to get out into nature! The Dragon Gorge, or Lunxingsha, is perfect for this: it is located near Beijing, but amazes with its beauty. You will ride up an escalator in the shape of a dragon to a dam, from where you will have stunning views. If you wish, you can take a boat ride on the Gu Chen River amidst the canyon cliffs or take a funicular to explore new perspectives.
What to expect
We will pick you up from your hotel in Beijing and take you to Lunxingsha, 100 km from the city. In the gorge, you will have many options on how to spend your time. And we will wait for you at the bottom or accompany you to delve into history (in this case, tickets for the guide need to be paid).
The huge dragon. This is nothing but an escalator! With a length of 258 m, it was once listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest dragon in Asia. You will ride it to the dam to enjoy the views.
Boat ride. From the dam, you can take a boat trip on the river. The route is about 3.5 km long, during which the width of the river changes from 50 to 10 m. The mountains along the banks, although not high, are very steep and form over 30 picturesque places with descriptive names: Jumping Bear Rock, Turtle Head, Moon Bay, Phoenix Island, and others. There are several caves in the cliffs. It is said that during the Qing Dynasty, two counterfeiters lived here.
Historical heritage. In addition to natural sites, there are also architectural landmarks here, such as the Buddha's servants' temple.
Seasonal features. In the summer, the gorge is perfect for escaping the heat: the temperature is always 5–7 degrees lower than in the city. In winter, during the Ice and Lantern Festival (January-February), craftsmen build ice palaces, all illuminated by colorful lights.

- Tickets are paid separately: entrance to the gorge - 40 yuan/person, funicular - 68 yuan/person, boat ride - 100 yuan/person. The guide can wait for you at the bottom. If you want him to accompany you and share information, you will need to pay for all his tickets
