I will gladly introduce you to this wonderful land and tell you about the history of the region. Treat you to aromatic Azerbaijani tea, and in season - with sweet mandarins.
What to Expect
High-altitude village Sim
Ancient cemeteries, the ruins of a minaret, a stone pool - traces of a once existing civilization harmoniously coexist here with juicy natural landscapes. You will see two waterfalls up to 30 meters high, springs with mineral water, and numerous caves.
Girkan National Park
The area of the reserve is huge - more than 20 thousand hectares. We will walk through a small part of it - wander through the forest, find disappearing plants listed in the Red Book, and even visit old fortresses.
Village Archivan
Several historical monuments have been preserved here - the 15th-century Hanafi mosque, the Hamidullah bath, and the Meshadi Abulaba hammam. Right there we will find the burning Yanar Bulag spring with healing sulfur water.
Mineral springs of the Istisu mountain range
There are several dozen of them in the vicinity. It is believed that the sulfur composition of the water helps restore strength.
Zindan Fortress
At an altitude of 2 kilometers above sea level, you will explore an architectural monument of the pre-Islamic era and the ancient cemetery that has survived on its territory. I will tell you about this ancient structure, which was part of the Lenkaran Fortress.
Village Pilekesh
You will see an old bridge and a cable car over the river, a three-meter waterfall, and the rock Ali Chapan with a road carved through it.
Citrus orchards and tea plantation
I will show you how lemons, mandarins, oranges, feijoa, and kiwi grow. You will be able to taste them. And then we will go to a tea plantation. You will taste different varieties of local tea and learn to distinguish them. I will explain how and when tea cultivation began in Azerbaijan.
