What to Expect
Historical Roots
The city of Shamakhy will welcome us with the beautiful architecture of the 8th century Juma Mosque. We will talk about the peculiarities of decoration and medieval architecture, the period of the Shirvan Khanate and devastating earthquakes. Here, in the homeland of great scholars and philosophers, you will feel the spirit of Azerbaijan and get acquainted with its culture. Another city - Ismailly, nestled at the foot of the Greater Caucasus, is famous for its picturesque landscape. The reserve, lakes, artificial reservoirs - the city harmoniously combines primordiality and modernity. I will show the most interesting and symbolic places, talk about local traditions and the features of the region's flora and fauna.
Natural Attractions
The legendary waterfall "7 Beauties" will amaze you with its grandeur. Standing on the observation deck and enjoying the mountain air, you will dissolve in the roar of powerful cascades and feel unity with nature. The next stop is Nohur Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in Azerbaijan, located high in the mountains. The wooded slopes are reflected in the mirror-like water surface, on the shore the reed thickets are barely swaying - the pastoral landscape will be an ideal place for rest and memorable photos.
Breathtaking View
The cable car ride will allow you to appreciate the beauty of the Gabala region from a bird's eye view. During the ascent, the cabin makes 4 stops at different heights, where you can have a snack at a cafe. Floating above the tree tops of the ancient forest, you will see a small village, and if you're lucky, even wild animals living in these parts.
