About this experience
In our travel expedition, you will be amazed by the nature of Azerbaijan: you will see some of the most colorful mountains on Earth. You will touch the legends of the picturesque 'Five Fingers' rock - a sacred place for Muslims. You will hear about the history of the main fortress in the powerful medieval defense system. Take a stroll along the shores of the pink Masazyr Lake, which will embellish your photo collection.
What to Expect
Agate Mountains, or Azerbaijani Mars
You will visit one of the most amazing places in the region: the colorful Khizi mountains. Such phenomena can be seen only in rare places on the planet (in Latin America and China), and similar mountain ranges - only in Death Valley in the USA. Red, orange, white, and black layers create the effect of alien landscapes. We will admire them and reflect on the nature of this rare phenomenon.
Sacred Beshbarmag Rock
Not far from the Caspian Sea coast, there is an unusual volcanic rock associated with many legends. We will tell you about the prophet Khidr, who, according to tradition, climbed the 600-meter mountain every morning to pray. You will understand the significance of this place in the Muslim world. And if you wish, you can climb the 800-step staircase and make a wish at the top of Beshbarmag, which is visited by tens of thousands of pilgrims annually.
Chiraggala: Ancient 'Lighthouse Fortress'
Then we will take you to the 6th-century historical and architectural monument, erected at an altitude of 1232 meters above sea level. You will learn about the history of the citadel, which was a key element in the ancient Caspian defensive belt. And if you want to climb to the structure, you can rent a local off-road vehicle - there is no asphalt road to the top.
Masazyr Pink Lake
We will walk along the shore of one of the eight pink lakes in the world, the water of which is rich in iodine and bromine. You can collect salt on the lake shore, as people did in the past - for consumption and sale.
During the journey, you will also see oil rigs in the mountains of Azerbaijan.

- The cost of the excursion includes a transfer in a Toyota Prius or Kia GT car
- We will meet you at any point in Baku and take you back after the tour
- The road to the first location will take approximately 40 minutes
