About this experience
I invite you to take a walk through one of the most picturesque and serene European capitals. You will explore the main squares, churches, bridges, and historic buildings of Ljubljana, climb to the medieval fortress, and visit the local market. And I will tell you about local traditions, history, and everyday life.
What to expect
Charming Ljubljana
You will see the main sights of the city: Prešeren Square, Congress Square of 1821, the magnificent Triple Bridge and Dragon Bridge, the Town Hall, and the Cathedral of St. Nicholas with amazing bronze doors. Also: the university, Slovenia's oldest park, the main country library, and the farmer's market. Additionally, you will climb to the Ljubljana Castle, which withstood the siege of the Ottoman Empire, and enjoy views of the city from above.
Getting to know Ljubljana
I will uncover the most interesting pages of Slovenian history and help you find traces left by the Romans, Habsburgs, French, and Yugoslavs. I will also share useful tips from a local: where to take a walk on your own, what national dishes to try, and where to have the most delicious mulled wine in town.
