About this experience
If you have already explored the central attractions of Istanbul, it's time to see the city from a non-touristic perspective. I will take you to my favorite spots, colorful neighborhoods, and cozy streets. Bohemian Cihangir, Arnautköy with its unique 19th-century architecture, atmospheric corners of the Asian side, Chamlıca Hill, and the Bosphorus... Istanbul, here we come!
What to Expect
Cozy Format
This is a leisurely walk in a micro-group of up to 4 people. You will feel the real rhythm of the city as we stroll through non-touristic paths and move between locations using public transport and ferries (keep an eye on the waters of the Bosphorus: you might spot dolphins!). I'll share curious facts about Istanbul with you, without boring lectures or endless historical explanations. I'll take photos of you at popular spots and show you where to grab coffee or a snack :)
Our Non-Touristic Route
🧿 Cihangir - a peaceful neighborhood inhabited by bohemians and creative professionals. I will tell you about the advantages of this area and what sets it apart from others. We will also enjoy the city panorama from the hill.
🧿 Arnautköy. This area is not mentioned in any guidebooks, but it's definitely worth a visit. Antique mansions, colorful houses, and even wooden cottages create a special atmosphere here.
🧿 Kuzguncuk - a district on the Asian side of Istanbul that will undoubtedly steal your heart. We will stroll through its picturesque streets, admire the colorful houses, observe locals casually sipping coffee in stylish little cafés, and visit the urban garden where residents grow vegetables for themselves. By the way, Turkish series are often filmed in Kuzguncuk. We will find Eda's flower shop from the series "Love is in the Air" and Kemal's parental house from the series "Black Love."
🧿 Chamlıca Hill. Here we will visit Turkey's largest mosque - Çamlıca Mosque. It is among the top ten main mosques in the world! And of course, we will enjoy the incredible panorama of the Bosphorus, the Sea of Marmara, and the Princes' Islands from a height.
