What to Expect
Tegenungan Waterfall and Monkey Forest
At 8 am, I will pick you up at your hotel/villa and we will set off on a journey to picturesque places in Bali, and along the way, I will gladly tell you a little bit about everything: the daily life and habits of the smiling Balinese, traditional culture, way of life, and values that have remained unchanged for many centuries. First, you will visit the not very high but powerful and beautiful Tegenungan Waterfall, located near the village of Kemenuh. And then I will take you to the heart of Ubud, where the fantastic Monkey Forest is located. Here you will meet the long-tailed Balinese macaques, learn about their sacral role in the local beliefs system, and ceremonies held in ancient temples on the park's territory.
Tegalalang Rice Terraces, Plantations, and Jungle Swings
The next stop is the emerald Tegalalang Rice Terraces, where you will see the famous cascades and take vivid photos. Then you will visit agrofarms, where you will see how coffee, cocoa, as well as lemongrass and many other types of spices are grown. There, if you wish, you will taste the famous Kopi Luwak coffee, learn about the intricacies of its production, and the secrets of its taste, which is highly valued by gourmets. Additionally, on the way, I will take you to a beautiful spot where swings are set up, on which you can ride right in the middle of the dense tropical jungle and, of course, take incredible photos.
Taman Ayun Temple, or "Beautiful Garden"
The final point of the program is the widely known temple surrounded by water and located in the middle of a magical garden. On the territory of Taman Ayun, you will see many pagodas and stroll among landscape gardens with lotuses and fish ponds. And I will talk about the significance of the temple for the village residents, its differences from other religious buildings on the island, as well as the features and symbolism of its layout.
