About this experience
Your introduction to Serbia will be fascinating and delicious. It will start on a high note - from the observation deck of Avala Tower. Then you will move on to the Rakia Museum, a winery, and a restaurant visited by Josip Broz Tito, Sophia Loren, and other famous people. You will discover the traditional taste of Serbia, enjoy the nature, and delve into history by strolling through the medieval capital.
What to Expect
- Mount Avala with a TV tower on the top - a symbol of Belgrade. From the observation deck at a height of 120 m, you will have a fantastic view of the favorite place for walks of locals and visitors - a pine forest, full of walking trails and freshwater springs. At the foot of the tower stands a monument to the Unknown Hero of the First World War.
- Rakia Museum 'Boykovchanka'. Here you will get acquainted with the traditions of Serbia over a glass of the unique national drink - Rakia (fruit brandy). You will uncover the little secrets of production and after tasting, you will definitely take with you a tasty souvenir for your family and friends. This unique drink has traveled to 5 continents, reached the Russian space station 'Mir', and participated in scientific research on the effects of alcoholic beverages on the human body in zero gravity!
- Lunch at the 'Grocka' restaurant, located in a large estate on a hill among vineyards. The large terrace offers an impressive view of the Danube. Josip Broz Tito visited here 17 times. But other famous guests also dropped by - for example, Sophia Loren. We recommend you to try the signature chicken in the colors of the Italian flag - a dish created in honor of the actress.
- Eremich Winery in the town of Jugovo. A renowned winery that has grown from a small family business into a large modern company producing traditional wines.
- Smederevo Fortress on the banks of the Danube. We will walk through the medieval Serbian capital, talk about the events that took place here, the people who visited, and how the fortress managed to survive to this day.
