Historic Squares and Munich's Most Expensive Street
We will meet at Karlsplatz at the beginning of the city's first pedestrian street. Learn about its past roles and significance as a transport hub. In the surrounding neighborhoods and at Max-Joseph-Platz, discover Munich's rich history through vivid events. On the renowned Maximilianstrasse, admire unique facades, elegant shop windows, and hear captivating tales of local fashion royalty.
Prestigious Bogenhausen and Its Famous Residents
After crossing the Isar River, we'll explore the Maximilianeum area, discussing its special landmarks. In Bogenhausen, uncover stories about this now upscale district with former humble craftsmen's residences. Witness beautiful architectural examples from the Art Nouveau era and learn about famous figures linked to this quarter such as Thomas Mann, Rudolf Diesel, Karl Hanser, Marie Schnell, and other luminaries. Our route also includes a visit to the renowned Duke's Park, one of Munich's most refined locations and a residence to the country's political and social elite.
🏰 Leaving Bogenhausen, we will head back to the city center, reaching the Isar Gate where we'll discuss Munich's defensive wall remnants and offer advice on using local public transportation, answering any questions you may have about your stay in the Bavarian capital.
