About this experience
"Meeting place of cultures and civilizations", "capital of emperors", "city on two continents" — this is how Istanbul is often called. In one day, you will climb the hills of Pierre Loti and Camlica, visit one of the most important mosques in the world, Eyup Sultan, and stroll along the bustling Istiklal Street. And I will tell you the most interesting facts about the past and present of this great city.
What to Expect
Vibrant Introduction to Istanbul
You will drive through the colorful city and discover it from different angles. The excursion program includes:
- Camlica Hill — the highest point in the Asian part of Istanbul. From here, you will enjoy a magnificent view of the Bosphorus Strait, the Sea of Marmara, and the Princes' Islands.
- Pierre Loti Viewing Platform — you will appreciate the beauty of the Golden Horn bay from above and learn about who Pierre Loti was and how he was connected to Turkey.
- Eyup Sultan Mosque — the fourth most important Muslim sanctuary in the world after Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem. You will hear the story of Sultan Eyup's life and admire the majestic medieval architecture.
- Galata Tower — a symbol of the city that can be seen from almost any central point. Optionally, you can climb to the top of the tower and enjoy fantastic views of Istanbul and the Bosphorus.
- Istiklal Street and Taksim Square — a popular tourist area of Istanbul in the historic Beyoglu district. Here, you will find a historical red tram, many shops, and grand buildings.
