About this experience

You will learn the most important facts about the island's history and traditions, and breathe in the air of mountain herbs. My tour includes everything essential that every visitor to Gran Canaria should see with their own eyes, taste, and capture in photos to exclaim in the end: 'What an island full of contrasts and vibrant colors!'
What to expect
Highlights of Gran Canaria
In the old quarter of Vegueta, I will introduce you to the architectural landmarks of the city of Las Palmas and tell you about the history and present of the city. Then you will drive through the most fashionable district - Ciudad Jardin, on the way you will see the port of Las Palmas-Puerto De La Luz and head to the town of Arucas - the rum capital of the island, famous for its quarries where blue Canary basalt is mined. And in the town of Teror, the pilgrimage center of Gran Canaria, you will see the balconies made of endemic Canarian pine and the Basilica of the Holy Pine.
Exotic as it is
You will climb Mount Arucas, which offers unforgettable views of the entire northeast of the island, the port area of Las Palmas, and Las Canteras beach. And then - to the highest point of Gran Canaria - Pico De Las Nieves. It is from there that you can see the sacred basalt monolith Roca Nublo and the site of primitive gatherings Roca Bentayga, the neighboring island of Tenerife, and the majestic peak of Teide. The final point of the tour will be the crater of the extinct volcano - Caldera De Bandama. Once you are there, you can embrace with your eyes the whole Las Palmas and the endless blue ocean.
Taste of the Canaries
On the way to the highest point of Gran Canaria, we will stop in the village of Cruz De Tejeda with a rich historical past. Here, in the tents of local craftsmen, you will taste various Canarian liqueurs, almond-based sweets, hard and soft handmade cheeses, and much more. You will also have a chance to try the traditional Canarian drink - rum with honey. And if desired, you can visit the 'Bodegón de Bandama' vineyards and taste several types of 'volcanic' wine, rich and aromatic.
