Optimal way to get to know the island
The sightseeing route is carefully planned so that you can see all the most interesting and beautiful places. I have tried to build it to be bright and memorable, but not too tiring. Our journey will start heading west. We will visit the authentic small town of Santiago del Teide, where you will learn unusual facts about its history. Then, crossing the West Pass and observing the change of weather in different climatic zones, we will reach the North of the Island, where in the ancient town of Icod de los Vinos, we will see one of the main attractions - the Dragon Tree. You will hear legends associated with it, stroll through pedestrian streets, and taste the famous Canary wines.
Must-see places
I will introduce you to the history of the island and tell stories about its origin. You will learn interesting facts about the aborigines and pirates, the culture and customs of the local people, see the area of an old monastery where you can have lunch if desired. And finally, getting to know the Island would be incomplete without visiting the religious capital of the Island, the city of Candelaria, and the main Canarian shrine, the Black Madonna. We will explore ancient churches, walk through the ancient monastery, and enjoy stunning views of the countryside from the viewpoints.
