When the sights of Belgrade have been explored, alternative routes come into play. On this walk, you will uncover another essence of the city - modern, vibrant, and ever-changing. We will find the most interesting graffiti and murals in Belgrade, talk about their creators, characters, stories, and ideas, which will always be different. After all, the essence of street art is impermanence!
What to Expect
Talking about the city in the language of street art
I will help you look at underground Belgrade and its 'tattoos' with prepared eyes, ensuring you don't miss anything important. During a couple of hours of walking, we will:
- distinguish between graffiti and murals;
- discuss the first wall drawings in the city and why they appeared;
- talk about the most famous names in the modern Belgrade art scene;
- explore who needs art on walls, fences, and in restaurant courtyards;
- and of course, thoroughly discuss the themes, plots, and heroes of street masterpieces.
Navigating creative Belgrade
We will walk through the city center, take a piece of Dorćol, and visit Savamala - you will see how different both Belgrade and its residents can be. After our immersion in the world of street art, you will become familiar with the modern creative life of the city and learn to independently seek out interesting works by Serbian artists. I will also share dozens of additional locations for independent exploration.
