About this experience
As a Dame of the Knights Templar Order, I participate in all spiritual rituals of the organization. I can access archives, hold precious manuscripts, attend lectures by historians and philosophers. With me, your walk through Venice will take on a different meaning. I will show you the symbols of the Templars on the facades of palaces and cathedrals, and introduce you to the place where the Holy Grail might have been kept.
What to Expect
A Bit of History
Venice is closely linked to the Knights Templar Order. According to legend, the Holy Grail arrived here after the sacking of Constantinople in 1198. The cup was hidden in the throne of Saint Peter, now kept in the basilica of San Pietro di Castello. And in the church of Saint Barnabas lies the burial place of Nicodemus de Bezant Mezurée - one of the keepers of the sacred relic.
Signs and Symbols of the Ancient Order
- Our tour will start at the water area between two columns - Saint Mark's and Saint Theodore's. At the top of the structures, I will show the symbols of the Knights Templar Order. Seeing them, travelers understood that they could seek help from the brothers of the organization.
- I will introduce you to the signs of the Order at the Doge's Palace, where the rulers of the republic resided.
- Through mysterious alleys and bridges, we will walk to the famous Masonic church with symbols and a ritual entrance. The temple previously belonged to the Knights Templar Order.
- We will see another palace where the knights of the order lived and had their representative offices for 200 years. According to legends, the Holy Grail was kept there.
