About this experience
Get ready for a journey into the past! You will visit the 4th-century Saint Nicholas Church, explore ancient frescoes, and understand why pilgrims from around the world come here. Then, you will head to examine the ancient necropolis with tombs carved directly into the rock. Why are they positioned like this? Who was buried here? Find out on the tour!
What to Expect
Saint Nicholas Church - the second most significant place for pilgrims after Jerusalem. People from all over the world come here to pay homage to the saint, ask for help and healing, and make a wish. Inside, there is a sarcophagus where Saint Nicholas was buried, as well as burial chambers, crypts, frescoes of the Nicene Council, and the Eucharist.
Lycian Tombs - an ancient necropolis on the outskirts of Demre. You will explore one of the oldest forms of burial structures in the world, see the Greco-Roman amphitheater, and visit the Alakent Church of the Virgin Mary.

Organizational Details
- Entrance tickets are paid separately: to Saint Nicholas Church - €17/person, children under 8 years old are free, and to the city of Myra - €13/person, children under 8 years old are free. Payment at the museum ticket office is accepted only in Turkish Lira - cash or by card.
- If you arrived in Demre by car, we will move between locations in it; if not, we will call a taxi (not included in the tour price).
