About this experience
Budapest is not only the Royal Palace or the famous Opera House, and you will see it for yourself! We will stroll through the most significant places of the imperial city, discovering unique tiny and large sculptures, each with its own stories, legends, and Budapest traditions. Kids will meet the friendly city policeman and the brave hussar, try to make the princess laugh, see a frog, a snail, and even a dragon. Along the way, they will learn interesting facts about these city curiosities, taste the most delicious Budapest ice cream, and embark on a little quest!
What to Expect
Funny Symbols of Budapest
Our walk will start at the Parliament and go through the most beautiful places in Budapest. Children will not only see the main attractions of the city but also get acquainted with curious little sculptures: they will rub the frog's nose and put a coin in the froggy bank, try not to get their feet wet at the 'Fountain of Confidence,' examine a puzzle in the form of a strange figure made of three parts, meet the easygoing policeman Uncle Karchi and make a wish by rubbing his belly and mustache! Along the way, I'll tell the most fascinating and colorful events from the history of Hungary and Budapest.
Little Secrets of City Attractions
Passing by the magnificent Basilica, we will stop for a rose-shaped ice cream or a tasting of delicious macarons, and in the nearby souvenir shop, I will show you the most unusual item of modern times - a fidget spinner! On the Danube embankment, we will try to make the princess laugh, see what the artist is drawing, and visit the museum of an old ship. We will cross the Chain Bridge and set off in search of the cheerful worm Ho-Ho. After that, we will ride the world's longest tram to meet the sculptures on Kalman Sella Square: here you can find characters from cartoons, a snail, a purse, and even a skateboarder's board.
'Inhabitants' of the Fisherman's Bastion
By bus, we will climb to the Castle Hill, to the Fisherman's Bastion - here I will introduce you to a red hedgehog, a squirrel, and a dragon, show you the statue of a Hungarian hussar, and then you will admire the extraordinary view of the Danube and the whole Budapest from the panoramic platform. The bravest ones can enter the mysterious labyrinth of the wizard Harry Houdini, where magic shows are held, and the water flows upwards from the pitcher.
