What to Expect
Iconic places of the capital in the evening illumination
The tour covers the most interesting places of the new Baku, each of which will share its story. You will walk along the beloved Nizami Street, admire the ensemble of Fountain Square, drive along Heydar Aliyev Avenue, and from the observation platform, you will see the panorama of Baku and the Flame Towers - the modern symbol of the city, harmoniously complementing the ancient panoramas.
Stories of Baku and its residents
I will help you to discover and feel Baku, telling about ancient history and modern plots. You will learn about the eternal youth spring festival of Novruz, about the traditions and customs of Azerbaijani people, about outstanding residents of Baku: Richard Sorge, Lev Landau, Muslim Magomaev, and others. You will uncover the history of Baku during the oil boom era and explore the most beautiful palace-like buildings of that time. Additionally, I will talk about the most modern attractions: the space-age building of the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center and the brilliant Crystal Hall, where Eurovision was held in 2012.
Unique natural phenomenon
The journey through the city will be complemented by a trip to a natural landmark - the ever-burning Yanardag Mountain. Surrounded by tongues of flame, it has been burning for over 2000 years, through rain and snow! Here you will learn about ancient mentions of Yanardag and its connection to Zoroastrian cult.
