About this experience
The town of Alberobello is famous primarily for its enchanting trullo houses, which seem to have come straight out of the pages of ancient fairy tales. I will take you through the picturesque center of the town and introduce you to these whimsical houses. You will learn why trullos have such a strange shape, who and why created them, and even see the only church in the world built in the shape of a trullo. And after the walk, you will enjoy a small tasting of local delicacies! :)
What to expect
Get to know the trullo houses
We will visit the most picturesque district of trullos Monti, where I will guide you through narrow streets and tell you the history of these unique houses: how they appeared, why they have such a strange shape, who and how used to live in them. You will see a trullo master who still makes trullo models (though no longer life-size :)) You will explore a residential trullo, see many interesting trullo shops and souvenir stalls, and visit the only church in the world in the shape of a trullo.
Alberobello Panorama
We will climb to a viewpoint and admire the town from above. You won't see anything like this anywhere else: a breathtaking panorama of thousands of small, toy-like whitewashed houses with cone-shaped roofs, resembling Egyptian pyramids! For its uniqueness and peculiarity, Alberobello was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, which says a lot.
Local delicacies
After our leisurely walk, you will enjoy a completely free tasting of local delicacies, wines, or liqueurs. Here you can appreciate the true southern hospitality of the locals and have a light snack before heading back!
The most active travelers can, after visiting Alberobello, visit the Castellana Caves (a unique complex of karst caves at a depth of 70 meters and a length of 1.5 kilometers) and admire the unique creation of nature.

- Transport to Alberobello is not included in the cost of the walk, I will meet you in the town. From Bari, you can get here by train (15 euros round trip).
