About this experience
Dubrovnik with its cobbled streets, turquoise bay, and terracotta roofs can be admired endlessly - and I will show you the best spots to enjoy the city. We will stroll through stone labyrinths, find 'Game of Thrones' set decorations, and talk about the customs of the Croatians. And from the fortress tower, you will take in the whole city at a glance - and its centuries-old history!
What to Expect
The Old Town Inside Out
I will guide you through the maze of trading streets, the pedestrian street Stradun, and Luza Square with the town hall, bell tower, and the white church. The facade of the Dominican Monastery and the steps of the Church of St. Ignatius will transport you to King's Landing from 'Game of Thrones,' as many scenes of the series were filmed right here.
All of Dubrovnik from Above
To take in all the beauty of miniature Dubrovnik at a single glance, we will climb to the observation deck of the Lovrijenac Fortress. From here, you'll see the red terracotta roofs of the Old Town, the picturesque bay, and the port of Dubrovnik. I will tell you about the key events from the city's past and help you put together a complete picture from them.
A Local's View of the City
We won't limit ourselves to just history - you'll learn what Dubrovnik is living for here and now. We will find non-trivial spots for photos and videos, remember the movies filmed here, talk about the mentality of the Croatians. I will gladly point you to places to get acquainted with local cuisine, buy souvenirs, and take walks.
Organizational Details
- Entrance ticket to the Lovrijenac Fortress is paid separately: 15 euros/person.
- Dress according to the weather, in summer I recommend bringing a hat and drinking water.
Please note: visiting the fortress outside working hours is not possible. Working hours depend on the season, as well as the holding of private events inside the fortress, for which the guide is not responsible. Unfortunately, the guide does not have the opportunity to find out the schedule of work in advance - he receives information on the day of the tour at the board in front of the entrance.
The tour lasts up to 2 hours, but the duration also depends on the size of the group, the age of the participants, and the speed of movement within the city, which may lead to a reduction of the tour by 15-20 minutes, or respectively, an increase by 15-20 minutes.
